Did You KNow?

You’re standing in your kitchen, sipping your second cup of coffee as the group text lights up—“Wine night later?”
You nod, thinking, Yes. I need this.
The kids were up late. You barely slept. And somehow your emotions feel one notch away from unraveling.

If this feels familiar, you're not alone.
Many women enter perimenopause without realizing that everyday habits—like coffee dates and wine nights—may be hijacking their nervous systems and quietly amplifying their symptoms.

But here’s the good news: once you understand what’s going on beneath the surface, you can begin to reset your system and feel like yourself again.

And it starts with a new kind of knowledge—one that connects your hormones, nervous system, and cellular health.

Did you know your favorite “pick-me-up” might be triggering the very symptoms you're trying to soothe?

Did you know your nervous system may be more sensitive during perimenopause than at any other time in your life?

Did you know that one overlooked mineral could be the key to better sleep, fewer mood swings, and calmer mornings?

Did you know that the way you breathe can instantly reset your stress response—and your hormones?

Did you know that a daily habit many women consider relaxing might actually disrupt your REM cycle and fuel anxiety?

Did you know certain seeds can work as natural hormone helpers and nervous system regulators?

Did you know ancient herbs have been used for centuries to calm nerves and balance hormones—without the side effects of synthetic treatments?

Ready to understand what’s really going on—and how to reclaim calm, balance, and control?

WEEKLY WELLNESS PRACTICE | SOAK & SOOTHE RITUAL

A simple magnesium bath ritual to ease perimenopause stress and restore hormonal balance

Why it matters:

During perimenopause, your nervous system is more reactive—and that nightly glass of wine or scrolling habit may be making things worse. This week, trade overstimulation for restoration with a 20-minute magnesium-rich bath that calms your nervous system, supports sleep, and helps balance your hormones.

What to do:

  • Run a warm bath before bed (not hot—too much heat can trigger hot flashes).

  • Add 1–2 cups of Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) and a few drops of lavender or chamomile essential oil.

  • Soak for at least 20 minutes in silence, soft music, or with a guided meditation.

  • Follow with light stretching or breathwork to enhance the calming effect.

The science behind it:

Magnesium is critical for nervous system regulation, especially during hormonal transitions. It supports GABA production (a calming neurotransmitter) and helps lower cortisol levels. Studies show that transdermal absorption (like through a bath) can promote better sleep and mood.

Bonus Tip: Add a candle or dim the lights to mimic evening melatonin cues. This isn’t just a bath—it’s a signal to your body: you’re safe, you can relax, and you’re supported.
